2014 - 2015 WC In Season Events

WC Duals

December 6th, 2014

The WC Duals is an annual tournament unlike most in the area.  This event you can bring your entire team - Varsity and JV. Our main gym is filled with 6 varsity teams running a round robin duals.  Each team gets 5 Varsity matches and there are 3 mats so no byes.  In the auxiliary gym the JV teams are grouped by weights and experienced and run round robin matches on two full mats.  The WC Duals is in its 6th year and continues to get better each year.

This Year's Teams: Warren County - William Monroe - Oakton - Broadway - Harrisonburg - East Rockingham

WC Invitational

January 3rd, 2015

The WC Invitational is also brand new this season.  The wildcats have historically hosted great individual tournament, including the elks classic and the harley davidson classic, but after dying out in the early 2000's the wildcats look to renew the great tradition. This will be a one day double elimination bracketed tournament.  The will be awards for the top 4 wrestlers in each weightclass.

This Year's Teams: Warren County, Clarke County, Marshall, Heritage, King William, Courtland, Caroline, CD Hlyton, Western Albermarle, Briar Woods, and Woodgrove.

Off Season WC Tournaments 

May 10 - Airshows Classic

The Airshow Classic is a folkstyle off season tournament run by Warren County Wrestling and Sponsored by Airshows Classic (www.airshowsclasic.biz).  This tournament continues to grow each year and has become a fantastic fundraiser for the wresting team.  Last year the tournament had representatives from five states including VA, WV, PA, MD, and NC.  This year we look to add another mat and grow bigger.  This is a individual bracket tournament and medals go to the top 3 wrestlers ineach weight class.
